Over 25 dynamic speakers in four conference tracks to deliver timely, impactful presentations
SYRACUSE, NY -- The NY Tech Summit advisory board has assembled a dynamic lineup of industry thought leaders who will offer timely themed educational presentations focusing on leadership and technology. The 14th annual NY Tech Summit will be held from June 6-8 at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino, in Verona.
“As the role of the IT professional evolves and becomes increasingly strategic, developing solutions to best drive business success is now critically important,” said Renee Duffy conference producer and vice president of marketing for TERACAI and CXtec. “This year’s conference agenda is designed to help IT professionals discover best practices for developing leadership skills and how implementing technology can provide strategies to drive organizational success.”
NY Tech Summit attendees can choose from over 25 impactful presentations amongst these four conference agenda tracks: Functional Security, IT Evolution, Transformational Leadership and Lifecycle of IT Employees. Here’s a look at each track.
There is no bigger concern within organizations today than security. Striking the balance of function and security is key.
The focus of presentations in the Functional Security track will range from a proactive approach to security beginning with the basics, to developing an offensive approach to cyber-security, to ways of defending against ransomware and other threats. The full agenda can be found here.
As technology evolves, and the role of IT in business changes, IT professionals are left to figure out what exactly the "New Normal" is. Time after time, IT professionals are answering the questions: “Should we? Could we? Would we?”
Presentations in the IT Evolution track will look to help guide IT professionals through their ever-changing field. Presentations topics will range from intuitive networking, to latest data security regulations, to a look at AI and its value to IT professionals. The full agenda can be found here.
Often IT personnel are seen as the basement dwellers, the fixers, but not as leaders. How do IT professions pull themselves out from the basement and into the boardroom?
Presentations in the Transformational Leadership track will examine how to best establish the value of IT as a strategic partner, how to focus on the business impact of IT decisions, and more. Sessions within the track look to educate IT professionals on different fundamentals needed to be a good leader. This includes dealing with a crisis, presentation skills, and characteristics of establishing a technology-steering committee. The full agenda can be found here.
IT departments are not immune to the challenges of staffing, training and retention. How do IT departments build the best teams to provide the best-in-class business solutions?
Presentations in this track look to provide answers that focus on how to best find, retain and grow IT talent, how to become invaluable to your department and company and more. The full agenda can be found here.
In addition to the educational presentations, NY Tech Summit features four pre-conference workshops on June 6th, for attendees interested in an extended training session. Workshops this year will cover these topics:
