Speaker: phil van horne
Company: BlueRock Energy
Track: Transformational Leadership
Day: Friday
Room: Seneca
Time: 9:45 - 10:30

For years, we have used various energy resources to help make our homes and businesses become efficient. Traditionally, we have used grid supplied electricity as our primary source of power, and now we are beginning to see to see a shift into locally distributed solar energy. While there are still business owners who are staying with traditional means, many are looking for an alternative, and cleaner sources of electricity.

Phil Van Horne, CEO of BlueRock Energy will tap into the evolution of community solar and how it can help businesses and homes meet their energy needs. His focus will include the advantages of community solar vs rooftop solar, breaking down the energy attributes between the two and utilization concerns business owners may have.

Phil Van Horne will take a dive into solar energy and it's going to be the future for all homes and businesses. During this session, he will provide an introductory of solar energy, where it has gone the last 10 years and looking towards the next 10-20 years and beyond.

Go Back

We have come to NY Tech Summit for four years now and my team and I get a good variety of technical, business, and strategic sessions to complement our work objectives. I like that there is a balance of end users, consultants, and vendors to present and facilitate the sessions. The interaction is candid and engaging, but not a sales pitch. Being a regional conference helps, it is the right amount of time and location for a couple days to reenergize my team and refocus on our objectives. There seems to be quite a bit of peer discussion with a smaller conference, which I like.
