Track: Transformational Leadership
Day: Thursday

Time: 3:30 - 4:15

The war for talents is as fierce as it’s ever been, so the importance of creating an culture that attracts top technical talent and hiring the right people is critical.  Our session will focus on the following:

  • Creating an Intentional Culture:  Discuss the importance of developing a culture in which your best employees will thrive.  Core areas will include performing an analysis of current vs desired state, developing and implementing core values and purpose, and creating buy-in.
  • Evidence Based Talent Evaluation:  Learn how to build a successful interview process designed to gain evidence and ensure you’re hiring people who fit, both culturally and technically.  Core areas will include developing a repeatable process, asking "impact questions" and talent evaluation tools.  The goal is to move away from "gut-feel" decisions and evaluate candidates based on the soft skills they need to be successful in their roles and also fit your company culture.

It’s a little different perspective than I’ve gotten from other tradeshows, other organizations, other groups. That’s the part that has made it more interesting.
