Alan McDonald is the president and founder of AllConnected, Inc., located in Simi Valley, Calif.  AllConnected specializes in delivering Recovery Solutions and Advanced Networking and Security solutions, with a specific focus on business continuity.  As president, Alan provides the strategic direction, leadership and vision for AllConnected’s team.  Under his leadership, AllConnected has achieved 20 percent average year-over-year growth and now services more than 150 K20 education and SMB clients throughout the Ventura and Los Angeles County areas.  
Prior to founding AllConnected, Inc., Alan worked as a technology strategist and consultant in the Healthcare industry, designing and implementing imaging and back-office networks for medical facilities.
Founded in 1998, Alan focuses AllConnected’s client and partner services on keeping client technology secure and available.  A key area of emphasis is ensuring Disaster Recovery plans are tested annually.    The company’s mission is to Prepare IT for Survival by maximizing availability, security, and access to the applications and data critical to keeping client’s businesses moving forward.   
In 2008, Alan jointly partnered with a Trust X Alliance partner to create a channel focused business continuity service, designed to eliminate tapes and guarantee data recovery for small business.  This service was available exclusively to partners focused on delivering business continuity as a service.  Between AllConnected and XiloCore, nearly 1 Petabyte of data was protected and/or managed.  Alan and his partners sold the XiloCore channel business in 2013.
Alan is an active member of the IT community and is recognized for his advocacy of people, processes, and technology. He has been featured in several channel trade magazines as a managed services expert and has served as a member of the advisory council and U.S. President for the Trust X Alliance Network, as well as advisory councils for Cisco’s SMB, N-able Technologies, and Asigra.
Alan resides in Simi Valley, Calif., with his wife and three sons. 



We have come to NY Tech Summit for four years now and my team and I get a good variety of technical, business, and strategic sessions to complement our work objectives. I like that there is a balance of end users, consultants, and vendors to present and facilitate the sessions. The interaction is candid and engaging, but not a sales pitch. Being a regional conference helps, it is the right amount of time and location for a couple days to reenergize my team and refocus on our objectives. There seems to be quite a bit of peer discussion with a smaller conference, which I like.
