When Ted was graduating high school and thinking about college and his future he asked his father "what would you do if you were in my shoes"? His response was "go to school & learn about air conditioning". Ted's father was a watch engineer at NY telephone at a time when the new phone technology was becoming computerized, which meant that these spaces would require air conditioning and environmental controls to operate reliably. So Ted went off to Alfred State College for A/C engineering technology. Upon graduation Ted was recruited by Johnson Controls where he started his 30 year career in building automation. Ted's experience in all things heating & cooling allowed him to operate his own part time business installing & servicing residential & light commercial HVAC systems, electrical & plumbing. In addition, Ted learned to weld & fabricate metal, repair tractor trailers and operate heavy equipment. Ted's true calling is building automation & in 20 years with Siemens, designed some of the largest projects in upstate New York such as: Binghamton University Dorms; SUNY HSC Vertical Expansion and Golisano Children's Hospital; Binghamton University Engineering & Science Bldg.
